Independent guidance,
from someone who works for you
DRMA Insurance Agency is founded and run by Dr. Ma. We’re an independent brokerage — not a captive agency — and that distinction is the single most important thing about how we work. The page below explains what that means, who we are, and how the multi-carrier matching process actually runs from the first call through ongoing renewals.

Founder & Independent Health Insurance Broker
Dr. Ma holds [licensure, designations, and years of experience — to be confirmed] — the formal credentials that anchor every recommendation the agency makes. This passage is founder-editable; replace the bracketed clause with the real credentials before launch.
[TODO founder: the personal background — what brought Dr. Ma to independent brokerage, the communities the agency serves, and the moment that made opening DRMA Insurance Agency the obvious next step. Founder-editable.]
[TODO founder: how Dr. Ma actually works with clients — the first-call flow, the carriers the agency is appointed with, and the turnaround time on a typical quote. Founder-editable.]

What “independent” actually means
We work for you, not for any single carrier
The word independentgets used loosely in our industry. Here’s what changes when you work with an independent broker — and what to ask any agent who tells you they’re “independent.”
The other model
- Represents
- A single insurance company
- Plan selection
- Only that company’s products
- Incentive
- Sales quotas and company targets
- Who they work for
- The carrier, first
- Cost to you
- Free (carrier-paid)
DRMA’s model
- Represents
- You — the client
- Plan selection
- 30+ appointed carriers, side-by-side
- Incentive
- A plan that genuinely fits your situation
- Who they work for
- You, first
- Cost to you
- Free (carrier-paid)
Independent, multi-carrier, year-round support, no cost to you — the same four pillars that drive the agency day-to-day.
Mission
Protecting health, securing futures.
Insurance is one of the largest purchases a household makes — and one of the easiest places to overpay without realizing it. A plan that looks affordable on premium can carry thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket exposure; a plan that covers the wrong network can quietly disconnect a family from their doctors.
DRMA exists to make those trade-offs visible. Our work is to put every realistic option side-by-side, explain what each one actually costs in the year you’ll use it, and help you choose with confidence. We measure success in renewals, not in new policies — because a client who comes back next year trusting us is the only kind of growth worth having.
The match process
How the multi-carrier match actually runs
Every client walks through the same five steps. Nothing is rushed, nothing is glossed over, and the recommendation at the end is genuinely yours.
- 01
Discovery call
A 20–30 minute call to capture your age, ZIP code, doctors, prescriptions, and the budget you’re working with. No forms to fill out ahead of time.
- 02
Multi-carrier scan
We run your profile against the 30+ carriers we’re appointed with — national, regional, Medicare-focused, and ACA Marketplace — and pull every eligible plan that fits.
- 03
Side-by-side comparison
Premium, drug tier copays, network fit, total annual cost. The realistic options are lined up in front of you, not a sales pitch, so the trade-offs are visible at a glance.
- 04
Joint review & enrollment
We walk through the top 2–3 picks on a follow-up call, answer questions, and handle the enrollment paperwork once you’ve chosen. Carrier-agnostic, so the recommendation is yours.
- 05
Year-round support
Claims questions, billing disputes, mid-life events, AEP/OEP renewals — you call the same number you called on day one. Coverage changes as your life does.
Want a deeper walk-through? See the FAQ → Working with DRMA section for the longer version — including the enrollment windows and what to expect after you enroll.
Let’s find the right plan — together.
A free consultation is the easiest way to see whether DRMA is the right fit. Bring your current plan if you have one, or just bring the questions. We’ll take it from there.
